Chances are, like most people, your digital camera is set to fine mode. Even if your camera is set to its lowest quality setting the images are far too large for use on your web pages. Of course you can dynamically change the size of the image with image mechanic in the editor but be aware that this only changes the size the image shows on the page. The actual image saved is the original size and will take just as long to download for those viewing your web pages. If you have a few pictures on your page, this can be a long, long time. The PROPER method is to actually resize the image before you upload it to the server to the approximate size you want it to be on the page. Since this is not standard software on most computers we have provided this tool on Faith-net.net for you to use.
Select a file from your computer - choose the size you want to make it and click RESIZE. You will be taken to a page with the resized image. simply download it and use the smaller one to upload and insert into your page.
